The third day of Malta Fashion Week 2025 unfolded with bold energy and creative diversity as emerging talents and established names shared the spotlight. From intimate emotional storytelling to rebellious transformations and radiant summer glamour, the evening celebrated fashion as an evolving form of personal and cultural expression.

Hon. Clifton Grima Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation, joined us backstage to meet the graduates and former students of MCAST participating in the event.

Show 1 – MCAST Show 1

Malta’s next generation of designers took centre stage with powerful narratives and experimental artistry.

  • Rebecca – Unrequited Love
Rebecca’s poetic collection captured the ache of longing with five distinct looks representing emotional stages—Control, Passion, Rejection, Euphoria, and Longing. Inspired by Petrarca, Sappho, and the faded elegance of dried roses, each garment wove heartbreak into fabric with haunting beauty.

  • Anmei – Lucid Play
Annmarie Azzopardi’s psychological journey unfolded through surreal silhouettes and dreamlike distortion. Lucid Play depicted a girl’s descent into fear and her eventual emergence into clarity and freedom, blending nightmare and hope in stunning visual storytelling.

  • Aisling – Sraitheanna
Using crochet as a language, Aisling Guidera’s collection traced the emotional landscapes of her life. Each texture and stitch served as a metaphor for personal growth, with nature-inspired layers that told a quiet, introspective story of transformation.

Show 2 – Oana by Queen’s Lane Couture

Collection: Reign After Midnight
Oana Bonta brought unapologetic elegance with her latest collection under Queen’s Lane Couture. Reign After Midnight fused royal glamour with modern edge, commanding the runway with sensual silhouettes, opulent textures, and an attitude of confident rebellion. These were pieces made for modern queens who rule the night.

Show 3 – MCAST Show 2

A second wave of emerging MCAST designers delivered daring collections that challenged conventions and empowered individuality.

  • Roxanne – Anima
A fusion of contrasts, Anima celebrated the harmony found in dualities. Roxanne’s geometric yet wearable pieces explored how opposing forces can coexist—good and evil, softness and edge, vulnerability and strength.

  • Miriana – Fatale Obsession
With striking cuts and seductive silhouettes, Fatale Obsession oozed sensual confidence. Miriana used deadstock luxury fabrics to craft one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrated femininity in its most unapologetic form.

  • Jethro – Emancipation: Riot in Black
A powerful declaration of self-ownership, Jethro’s all-black collection explored identity, rebellion, and gender fluidity. Every look embodied raw emotion and the quiet force of personal revolution.

  • Lara – FORMA
In FORMA, Lara deconstructed tailoring to express a monochromatic emotional landscape. Drawing on subcultures, styling, and her academic thesis, the collection blended textural experimentation with conceptual depth.

Show 4 – Yana’s Jewellery

Collection: Costa Eleganza
Closing the night with summery brilliance, Yana Azzopardi unveiled Costa Eleganza—a jewellery collection infused with the charm of the Amalfi Coast. With hand-painted ceramic textures, lemon motifs, and vibrant colours, Yana’s pieces captured the playful elegance of Italian summer. From casual beach looks to sophisticated evening wear, the collection brought a sense of joy, escapism, and Mediterranean spirit to the runway.

After Party – Sponsored by Campari

The evening concluded with another high-energy after party, once again sponsored by Campari. Guests gathered to celebrate the creative talents showcased, with cocktails flowing and fashion conversations continuing late into the night.
